The reasons and Importance of having women at the helm of affairs cannot be over emphasized. A gender inclusive community is a progressive community.

Before you read any further, I'd love you to throw away whatever bias you have been taught and conditioned to believe.

The bias of women cannot lead because men are natural leaders, the bias of women are "emotional" and so cannot lead.

The bais of women are lesser than men and so bla bla bla.

Firstly, Leadership skills are not gender based. Anyone can be a good leader.

In fact, some research say women do well at leadership then men.

The often ignored truth is, if we have a good percentage of women in leadership, in every sector, in every place where decision takes place, the world will be way way better.

Leadership is basically organization. Organizing individuals, humans, by setting up structures that aid progress and success for everyone.

Sadly, for so many years, women have be side lined and marginalized in many part of the world for completely absurd reasons.

However, for years too, women have been demanding spaces at every place, every office, every position, and that is refreshing for me.

By the way, I found a few women I have loved so much.

I will share their names with you. You can follow them on social media platforms if you wish.

1. Sanna Marin. The PM of Finland.

2. Jacinda Arden. PM of New Zealand.

3. Zarah Sultan... she's like like the most amazing woman in government, for me.

Back to the gist, The importance of women in leadership cannot be over emphasized.

In politics, In business, In offices, in organization, In churches and mosques, In every place where leadership is required.

Women, rather than aspiring to be the president's wife, or the CEO's wife, be the president. Be the CEO. Be the person you have always dreamt of marrying.

Take up leadership positions, starting from your churches and school and sports.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg said said, "Women belong in all places where decisions are being made."

Take the word "ALL" and go for it.

Stop the self betrayal. If they say, "this isn't meant for women," ask them, "why not"?
Don't listen to their reply too. Just got fir it.

Research has shown that there's a correlation between a gender inclusion and profitablity.

In businesses and companies, having women at the helm of affairs impacted ghe companies growth and profitablity.

However, In some African countries like Nigeria and Benin, the percentage of women in leadership is very low, and really we could see the the situation of these countries.

In Nigeria for example, I personally believe that if they we have equal number of women as men in politics the country would be so much better.

Countries with a greater proportion of women as top decision makers in legislatures have lower level of income inequality.

Last year In new Zealand, the country declared that all products for menstruation will be free all over the country.
That means that school girls would no longer buy pads or tampons They get sanitary towels for free.

Compare this to Africa where a large number of girls miss school at least one week every month because of period poverty

This year, The New Zealand government declared that fathers will also go on paid paternal leave when their wife have a baby.
Again, Compare this to other parts of the world.

So, generally, having women in leadership have meant:

1. More profitability.

2. Gender inclusion

3. Decrease in gender pay gap.

4. Provision for women's related issue.

5. A more responsible government.

I also always like to point out that during the covid19 outbreak, it was noted that countries with women as their president handled the epidemic way better that countries led by men.

So here, Women are not weak. Men are not specific natural leaders. Women are humans and can take up any position they deem fit.

I'd love to see more women in politics, business, organization and everywhere

Yesterday, an Anglican church in Africa ordained a woman Preist. I love that equality is happening in religion too.

The news made my day!
