If you are a woman you would agree that the month of September have been a horrible one, being on social media and listening to the news have been difficult, It’s been from one news of femicide in one country to another news of femicide in another country.

Women around the world haven’t had space to take any breather, just back to back men unaliving women. The craziest is that these men are not strangers to their victims. Husbands, friends, boyfriends, staff, classmates, co workers, neighbours, not strangers but men whom these women could have easily thought of as their protectors.

For the sake of this article, I'll focus on the radical steps we can take as women to end femicide in Africa, or at least reduce it.

Who else have noticed that society have now become very comfortable with women’s death, not like it began today btw, it’s always been a thing. I remember hearing people say a woman deserved to die as a way for other women to learn their lessons everytime a woman was found murdered on the streets, people immediately assumed she was a prostitute and so whoever murdered her didn’t do anything serious.

How does it feel as a woman who lives in Africa knowing that you live in one of the worst…
