Emotional strength is a vital armour every single person must strive to possess. Learning how to overtake your feelings per time.

Yet, sometimes, we would need a very strong belief and conviction in the one who is our creator to be able to subdue our emotions when they roar.

There are times when we need more than emotional intelligence and mastery, these times we need conviction even when our brain goes logical.

I know a man, he grew up with his family in the suburbs of his City, he had a very religious family, one day his father told everyone they'll be moving uptown, they've got no house nor family there. But he was serious.

They sold everything they had and moved, on getting to a city, his father settled down there, that wasn't anywhere near uptown, but he stayed back there and built a home.

Growing up, this man has come to understand that there's a God and at some time he had heard and seen of this God's power.

One beautiful day, God told him to pick up his properties and set out on a journey, destination remained undisclosed. I don't know how that Guy dud it, but he obeyed, silencing logical reasoning and the push for doubts and questions.

He told his wife and servants, they obeyed too. He was the master and had the finay say, his wife obviously trusted him to be sure of it all.

They set out on that journey, the journey into the unknown land, and out of conviction, they
followed God's leading. Unlike his father who stopped by the way. He kept on until he got to the land where God told him was the place for him.

This man was Abraham.

Sometimes, I sit low and wonder how much trust Abraham had in God, sincerely, that was more than trust, it was a really strong conviction. It is absolute belief in a supreme God. The kind I want to possess. Utmost conviction in the supernatural.

I understand that we care so much about emotional intelligence when handling life's issues. And that's very Okay, but, as Christians, they will be times we need to put aside logical reasoning and emotional intelligence and choose to have strong conviction in God's word.

No one goes with God and experiences an unfortunate journey. As much as we know in this 21st century, sometimes, we'll definitely have to listen to the one above.

Times when our intelligence and supreme inventories will not help us. Those times we'll need a strong conviction in a supernatural power.
